I believe that every couple deserves to have an incredible experience leading up to, and on their wedding day. I LOVE what I do. Still after 6 years of photographing weddings, I cry almost every time the bride walks down the aisle, every father daughter dance, and every first look.  

I believe in real moments. The tiny moments in between the ordinary ones that make an extraordinary life together, an extraordinary love together. The smile the spreads across your face when he whispers why he loves you. The warm embrace and comfort you feel as you cuddle up by the fire. The love you feel when you retell how he proposed to you. The belly laughter that results of being fully engaged in each other’s company. I believe in these moments because I get to live them everyday.

That’s the love I strive to capture with every story I tell: your beautiful adventure. The timeless, authentic story that is unique to you. I want to capture how he brushes your hair behind your ears and the way your eyes say I love you when you look at him. I’ll never tell you to “laugh at that tree over there”, but rather get to know you enough to know how to make you laugh. That’s the key to my experience and the reason couples love being a part of the Laura Lee Photography family. It’s authentic, it’s real, it’s timeless, because that’s what I do, that’s what I believe in.

I never thought that I would come across a vendor that cared about my wedding day just as much as I did, but Laura is that person. At this point, I even feel silly writing the word "vendor" because over the course of the last year and a half, Laura has become a friend to both of us. She is extremely passionate about what she does, and that is evident both when you are around her and when you see her final work. 

Aside from her beautiful work, Laura is an absolute joy to work with, which to me is just as important. From the moment we asked Laura to be our wedding photographer, we knew it was going to be an unforgettable experience. Flipping through her previous work left my fiancé, Eric and I in absolute awe and we knew we had to have her photograph our journey. She is unbelievably talented, not only with a camera but with all the thought and planning that goes into taking such jaw dropping photos.

Laura and Scott travelled all the way to Acadia National Park, Maine for our engagement session. I must say that she will do anything and everything to capture the perfect shot. She drove, ran, climbed and swam (while managing to balance on slippery rocks while being attacked by mosquitos) to various locations all to make this bride-to-be extremely happy.

I hope that anyone considering a wedding photographer reads this comment. My husband and I were "blank slaters" when planning our wedding. As a couple in our mid 20s, we were left to our own volition to plan the outdoorsy, rustic, whimsical wedding of our dreams. It is so important to me to have a connection with each and every one of my couples. Laura Lee couples are unique in that they are fun-loving, adventurous, and full of life. And they know and understand that to get fun, joyful, and genuine photos of their love story, we need to have a connection, and a relationship.

I always say I want to show up to your wedding day and feel like a friend or an extra bridesmaid, rather than a hired vendor. Having this connection allows me to capture the genuine moments of your relationship, and break down any walls of awkwardness that come with having a camera in your face! So if you’ve connected with the words and the images on this page, our first step will be a skype call to see if we connect even more!

After our initial video call, if you and your other half decide we’re the perfect fit to work together, it’ll be time to make it official! All you need to do is decide on your package, and from there, I’ll send you an online proposal with your custom contract, invoice, and payment schedule all able to be completed online!

Once your 25% retainer is paid, your date will be saved and the fun will begin! From there, I’ll begin sending you helpful education such as my wedding guide, my list of vendor recommendations, education on first looks and timelines, and more. And then, the best part– we’ll start planning your engagement session!

This is my favorite part!!! Engagement sessions are included in every one of my wedding packages because I truly believe they are a vital part of the wedding experience as a whole. Engagement sessions are the time where we get to know each other, I get to see how you interact together, and you become comfortable in front of my camera. We get to shoot in any location you choose, you can wear what you’re comfortable in, and there’s no guests begging for your attention. It’s just you guys and me, unfolding your love story. After the session, we’ll probably grab drinks or dinner together to further our relationship and when your images are ready, they’ll be featured on the blog and delivered via online gallery!!

I love being involved in the wedding planning process. My goal as a photographer is to make sure you have the most fun and stress free day possible. Because of that, I am extremely organized when it comes to your wedding day plans! Leading up to the day, I will help you create a detailed timeline for the day, a family formal photo list, and will send you multiple questionnaire to ensure everything runs smoothly. You’ll receive my wedding day questionnaire and vendor questionnaire, and from your answers, I’ll create all the organizational documents for your wedding day. About 2 weeks out from the wedding, we’ll have a video call to go over any final details to ensure all goes well the day of!

5. the wedding day

Hooray!!! It’s here! The day of your wedding goes by in an instant. I want to make sure it’s the most fun and stress free day possible, for not just you- but your family and friends. I arrive 30 minutes before our scheduled start time so I can meet your family and friends, get to know them, and scope out the lay of the land. I’ll begin with photographing your details, and my second shooter will be with your groom and groomsmen! My absolute favorite part of the day is bride and groom portraits, so we’ll ensure we have plenty of time for this! It’s my job to capture all the traditional moments, and in between moments so that you can look back on moments you may not have even realized were happening to relive your incredible day. After the wedding, you will be featured on my blog, and will receive your wedding gallery to enjoy and share with friends and family!

7. Album design

the process

I absolutely love wedding albums and they have such a special place in my heart. My grandparents have been married almost 67 years and they still have their wedding album on their coffee table. Every time I go to Florida to visit them, I look through it and relive their love story.

If you get an album with your wedding collection, I will predesign the first draft for you, and then we will begin the customization process to make sure it tells your beautiful love story with all your favorite pictures, and has a place for all the important people in your life. Albums come in a variety of linen or leather colors, and can be customized with your name and wedding date engraved on it! I LOVE designing these heirlooms.

SOMETHING HAD TO CHANGE.

So, in 2016, at the height of stress and desperation I got serious about workflow and systems for my upcoming wedding season. And something incredible happened—

I suddenly had hundreds of hours of my life back to spend with my favorite people and I wasn’t exhausted or anxious anymore. Even more incredibly, my business didn’t suffer at all—in fact, it did the opposite: I doubled my income. 

Because of the systems I had designed and implemented, I was able to cut my delivery time for client galleries down by 600%. This resulted in overjoyed clients referring me to all their friends.  

From client referrals alone that year, I booked over $60,000 in extra income.

So naturally, I started talking (to anyone who would listen) nonstop about workflow, systems, and productivity (hey, when something works, you want to rave about it,) and soon was known as the expert among my circle of friends and fellow creatives. I would have people over to sit by my firepit and discuss how to implement all of these things that had saved my business (and frankly, my relationships).

The Laura Lee Bride is passionate, and full of life.  She cares deeply about her fiance, her friends, and her family, and is intentional with the time she gets to spend with them. She is fun-loving, always up for an adventure, and isn't afraid to try new things.

The perfect day for him would be an adventure with the love of his life (best friend)- whether that's hiking, kayaking, going for a walk in the park, or just hanging out in the backyard with some craft brews and good friends.

Wedding Day Collections begins at $5850 and the average investment is $7250 which includes a wedding album.  All collections have a minimum of 8 hour coverage, two photographers, an online gallery of your edited images, download rights, print rights, and an engagement session.
